Hi, I'm Kim!

Welcome to Saucey on the Side, I am thrilled you found me. Not only am I a sauce queen in the kitchen... but I'm also pretty "saucey" as a human. (at least that's what my husband would say.)

Since we are just getting acquainted, let me share my journey. Growing up, my dream was to follow in Barbara Walters' footsteps. I have always been captivated by the power of conversation and the rich tapestry of human experiences. Telling those stories felt like my true calling and I pursued this path through college while also teaching martial arts, a role that sparked my passion for mentorship.  In my late twenties, after navigating various jobs and the audition circuit, I moved back home. It was then that my dad received a stage 4 esophageal cancer diagnosis. We lost him eighteen months later. Realizing that his health struggles were deeply tied to nutrition, I transformed my personal meal prepping habit into a mission-driven business. For five years, I focused on creating anti-inflammatory, food intolerant friendly dishes that refused to compromise on taste. My signature sauces became my hallmark.   Unexpectedly, in July 2025, right on my birthday, I had to shut the door on that chapter of my professional life.

Over the next year I threw myself into the world of private cheffing and slowly began to fall back in love with cooking and creating. I thought I was perfectly content with a booked out private client roster and filling my weekends in with catering gigs... but then someone asked me one question that changed everything: "WHY do you love cooking?"

It was then, I realized that more than the cooking, I truly love what food does for people. I love that food brings people together. I love that food is medicine and can help people on both their best and worst days. Then I started wondering how I could help more families... How could I become a one stop shop for the problems they were facing everyday in the kitchen? How could I help struggling parents with picky eaters? How could I make the process of meal prepping enjoyable and efficient without sacrificing quality and flavor?

THAT is how "Saucey on the Side" was born. This is your one stop shop for all your food solutions.  Looking for private chef services? I got you. Need catering for an intimate dinner party or a large event? I got you. Want to make your life exponentially easier with a hands-on cooking and family meal prepping experience? You've come to the right place. Prefer a more hands-off, consistent online food & kitchen coaching approach? I'm your girl.

Thank you so much for being here, and I can't wait to make your life a little easier, a little brighter, and a hell of a lot more flavorful!
